University Hospitals Dorset Cardiac Community

We worked with the cardiac team and patients at University Hospitals Dorset to set up and run Beating Together, a community for cardiac patients and their families. The community provides emotional and psychological support, education and resources for patients throughout their cardiac journey.

This project was a joy to run and as a result we have learnt so much more about the impact of happy fulfilling relationships on heart health.

"As the primary host for Beating Together I have worked closely with Chris and Caro over the last 2 years. Their endless support and encouragement from the outset have been invaluable to our hosts, moderators and members. With their expert guidance - in areas such as IT, governance and patient engagement - we have been able to build a platform that is perfect for our patient group.

The previous 2 years have not been easy for any of us, with the pandemic, Brexit and a trust merger! But with Chris and Caro's positivity and practical help we have been able to maintain momentum and establish a patient centred online platform that we are proud of.

We are excited to launch 'Beating Together' for both our staff and our patient's - and look forward to seeing what the future holds.

Thank you, Chris and Caro , we could not have done this without you"!

NHS England Stroke Pathway Improvement Pilot

We worked with the Community Stroke Team at Northampton General Hospital to redesign the stroke pathway to include day to day psychological support for patients and family members. This project included pathway design, leadership development, setting up and running patient forums, facilitating a patient wellbeing community and providing CPD UK accredited training in coaching.

LHC were brought in to work on a project that involved leadership coaching, team coaching, patient coaching, building of an online community hub, pathway development and development of policy and procedure.

The team at LHC went above and beyond my expectations on delivery. All elements were delivered to an exceptionally high standard and there was always a desire to exceed my expectations. Work was also always delivered on time or ahead of time. The team were and are loved by every individual that works with them and their professionalism in all situations was exemplary. I would highly recommend the team.

My Stroke Hub

We worked with the peer support team and patients at Northampton General Hospital to set up an online patient wellbeing community which provides resources and wellbeing support for patients and family members. We continue to provide a blend of listening spaces and wellbeing programmes which complement the support provided by the Community Stroke Team. It is such a privilege to co facilitate this space and be part of such profound and healing listening spaces.

This course has helped to turn me around. Before it I was in a very dark place now I can see the light.

Embrace the weekly sessions as a point of learning and self awareness. Enjoy the companionship and discover that you are not alone in your recovery. It is a very gentle and calm time of self discovery.
